A Selection of Our Heel Pain Services

Heel Spurs

Heel spurs are abnormal growths of bone on the bottom of the heel, often associated with plantar fasciitis. These growths can cause sharp pain in the foot, especially upon waking or after standing for prolonged periods. Batavia Foot Care Center provides comprehensive care for heel spurs, starting from diagnosis through imaging tests, to personalized treatment plans which may include rest, physical therapy, orthotics, or in some severe cases, surgery.

Haglund’s Deformity

Haglund’s Deformity is a bony enlargement on the back of the heel. This issue typically arises due to the pressure from rigid footwear, and can be exacerbated by certain foot structures such as high arches or a tight Achilles tendon. At Batavia Foot Care Center, our specialists are experienced in offering various treatment options ranging from non-invasive methods like shoe modifications and physical therapy to surgical interventions if necessary.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain, involving inflammation of a thick band of tissue, the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. It’s typically characterized by stabbing pain occurring with the first steps in the morning. Batavia Foot Care Center specializes in treating plantar fasciitis through a range of treatments including stretching exercises, night splints, orthotics, and minimally invasive procedures when conservative treatments do not provide relief.

Achilles Tendinitis

Achilles Tendinitis is an overuse injury causing inflammation of the Achilles tendon, the band of tissue connecting the calf muscles at the back of the lower leg to the heel bone. Often experienced by runners and athletes, it can cause pain and stiffness along the back of the leg or above the heel. Our team at Batavia Foot Care Center is skilled at diagnosing and treating Achilles tendinitis, helping patients regain their mobility through rehabilitation programs, medication, or surgery when necessary.
